Until the 1970s, the legendary Newcastle Flyer was hailed among NSW’s fastest trains, the premier express plying three times daily along the route between the state’s largest cities.
3801 powered the famous Flyers from the 1940s to the 60s and holds the steam speed record for the journey. Relive the grand days of rail with a classic express journey along the scenic Hawkesbury waterways, and through the Central Coast to Newcastle.
